Purpose

Baseball is almost two centuries old. Baseball is everything that America is and has been over the last 184 years. With names like Lajoie, Anson, Cobb, Wagner, Hornsby, Johnson, and Ruth baseball became America’s first past time. Joe DiMaggio, Ted Williams, Josh Gibson and Bob Feller led our pastime out of an unprecedented World War. Robinson, Campanella, Paige, and Doby integrated baseball, and made the sport truly America’s past time for the first time. Since then we’ve seen the year of the pitcher, we’ve seen Babe Ruth’s career and season home run records broken, and then broken again, we’ve seen the fast and loose 80’s, and the era of big homers and bigger biceps. In the last twenty years we’ve witnessed baseball’s unprecedented spread across the world to Korea, Japan, Latin America, and even Uganda. We’ve seen the dominance of Albert Pujols, Clayton Kershaw, Mike Trout, and countless others. The pitch clock sped up the game and made our great pastime more accessible to casual fans and diehards alike. Exciting young stars seem more plentiful than ever and established names are shattering old records and setting the bar even higher. Baseball is the past. Baseball is the future. Baseball is us. This page is dedicated to the stars and stories of the past. This page is dedicated to the stars and stories of the future. This page is dedicated to lifelong baseball fans like myself. My mission is to give honest, objective coverage of the greatest sport in the world, but always give you my two cents so that the debate never stops raging.

A Brief History

Founded in 2017 as a 15-year-old’s pet project, Baseball Opinionated’s first iteration was short lived. I just couldn’t stay away. I’ve been a baseball fan since I turned 8 years old. I spent much of my childhood with my head buried in a book; often my book of choice was baseball related. After college I spent three months working a job I hated and two more trying to remember what I love doing, in October of 2024 I remembered. This is my true passion, I will never stop loving and talking about this beautiful game.
